Tense Pendant Lamp
The object we chose is the first functional prototype of one of our recent industrialized projects, the Tense Pendant Lamp for New Works, and part of our personal research project TENSE.
The prototype hangs in our studio since the completion of the original research project in Milan in 2019. An open reminder to the path the studio initiated through that project, that since then is constantly evolving and driving our work.
Slightly different in proportions and details than the final product that ended up in production, the prototype holds an imperfect aesthetic that well captures the core of our practice – curiosity (especially for new materials and technologies), trials, and errors.
Since then, the lamp has become an integral and functional component of our daily surroundings, sitting on top of the dining table of our studio.
