A Painting by Artist Margarita Mortarotti
Our house is equipped with various furniture and objects, many of them were used before by other people, some come from our families, others from friends or relatives, and others we have acquired in auction houses, where we do not know the owner and his previous story, we can only imagine them…
We like to surround ourselves with these objects that bring a previous history and connect with us for some reason, that gives them a special meaning.
These objects already bring a defined character, they bring old loves and secret stories, they bring marks of life, they bring experience! ... but they have the opportunity of a new life experience, of new loves, objects also have a chance to reinvent themselves, and to become wise in your journey.
One of these special objects for us is the painting by Margarita Mortarotti (1926-1985), Uruguayan plastic artist, specialist in engravings. In this case it did not come to us through a family member or friend, we found it one night, leaning against a tree in a central street in Montevideo, together with various objects and books, someone unknown to us got rid of them,… who knows why.
